Flawless Tahini Dressing Recipe

Hello & Welcome to our blog!

I get inquiries about tahini often because it is one of my favorite ingredients to use in dressings, sauces, desserts & so much more. I decided to share a blog post about Tahini and the benefits of the sacred sesame seed. I also share yummy recipe & ideas just for you. Let’s get saucey!

Tahini Sauce/ Dressing

What is it? If you’re not familiar with tahini, it’s a creamy, nutty paste made from ground sesame seeds. Popular throughout the Middle East, you can find it blended into hummus or baba ganoush, or drizzled over meat or fish. I use tahini in lots of ways in my healing lab, but most often, I add it to this easy, versatile lemon tahini sauce (Recipe listed below).

Where is it from? Tahini, the product of toasted or raw ground sesame seeds came from Persia where it was called “ardeh.” From there it moved to Israel. For centuries only the aristocracy and wealthy could obtain the ingredients to make tahini.

In some cultures, Tahini was used as currency. It's grown in different parts of the world, but the best sesame seeds come from Ethiopia. How sacred!

What are the health benefits?

Sesame seeds are a good source of healthy fats, protein, B vitamins, minerals, fiber, antioxidants, and other beneficial plant compounds.

Flawless For Life Tip: Regularly eating substantial portions of these seeds not just an occasional sprinkling on a burger bun. This may aid blood sugar control, combat arthritis pain, hair growth and lower cholesterol. They help in healing skin and make it glow. Sesame seeds help the skin remain warm and moist. They are rich in anti-inflammatory properties that are vital in healing redness and other facial skin issues by getting rid of pathogens and other agents causing skin infections.

How do I use it?

I recommend that you explore the many ways to use Tahini. Theres many uses not limited to salad dressings, desserts, sauce, baking, and spreads.

The possibilities truly are endless. Note:

Find Tahini & raw sesame seeds in any international market or health food store.
